Bistro du Midi's cuisine features French Cuisine inspired by Coastal New England influences. Our wine list represents the true soul of a bistro wine list. In a classic French bistro, wine is very much a part of every meal. As such, we offer a variety of experiences and wines at a tremendous value in a range of prices. Our elegant yet relaxed environment overlooks Boston's beautiful Public Garden with a spectacular view. Celebrate a joyous 2024 by joining Bistro du Midi for dinner on New Year's Eve. Dinner will consist of an amazing five-course pre-fix tasting menu (with choices) created by Chef Robert Sisca and will feature an optional premium wine pairing. Please note that our regular dinner menu will not be available on New Year's Eve and that seating will be taking place in both our upstairs Main Dining Room and our downstairs Bistro. Please make note of any seating requests with your reservation.

We love it here and have been many times. Food is ALWAYS excellent. Price point is high, but the quality of the food is so good and the offerings are unique, combinations of foods with special ingredients and sides that make it worth it. While we have been many times, it's been a while. This visit was off for us. It was my husband's birthday and I had made a reservation. We checked in and were seated on the 1st floor. Truthfully, fun spot for brunch/lunch/sitting at the bar. For a special birthday dinner, I envisioned us upstairs. Probably should have mentioned this when I was being sat, but didn't because the table was in the corner and it looked cozy, so I just went with it. My husband was parking the car, so I told the hostess to look for him when he got there and shared physical characteristics. He got there and she had no idea who I was or who he was. He found me on his own. Additionally, she never checked me in. I know this b/c I received a text that our table was ready after I had been sitting down for 10+ mins. My husband went back to the host stand and let her know we were there and to make sure we were properly checked in. After this, I received the text again. We mentioned something to the waitress so she could make sure it was taken care of. At this time, a manager came over and said he had been looking for us to see if we wanted to move upstairs. This was after our apps/drinks were delivered and entrees ordered. So bizarre! I let him know we would have preferred upstairs, but that wasn't offered to us when we checked in. (Honestly, how awkward would it have been to move a that point?) Bar area is nice, but loud and for a special, celebratory dinner, not ideal. More than once, my husband and I couldn't hear each other. Overall: Positive - Waitress was fantastic. Her service was very good. Food and drinks were great. We thoroughly enjoyed all of it! Con - Get it together with the host stand and seating. This was not a $300 experience!

We had brunch at Bistro du Midi on a Sat morning, just as they opened. We had the place to ourselves at first but it then filled up but was never noisy. We sat downstairs. We had an outstanding experience. The food was excellent - everything we ordered was outstanding (we had the omelet, the croque madame, and the crepes). All three entrees were very tasty, and fresh green salads were served with the omelet and croque madame. The only negative was the coffee - it was not on par with the rest of our food - it was just ok. Our main waiter, Allessandro, was extremely pleasant and attentive, and all the rest of the wait staff we came into contact with were very pleasant. We will definitely be going back.

Unfortunately the food was VERY disappointing. The steak from the Steak Frites wasn’t fresh. The mussels from the Moules Frites were overcooked, with many that didn’t open, and the chicken from the Chicken Sandwich was bone dry. Dessert wasn’t much better. And our server had to be asked multiple times for cutlery.
