With reservations my party had to wait an additional 45 minutes to be seated! Once seated the server took our order and completely forgot alot of what we ordered including the drinks. Im guessing the New Years Eve took a toll on the restaurant workers. It was extremely loud and smoky in our area. I wasnt comfortable in my chair either. The chair wobbled and being in the corner gave less leg room. The chef was great though and tried his best to make up for all the delays!

We had reservations and in expectation of the New Years Eve crowd we arrived at least 30 minutes early and upon check in with host he advised us “At least an hour wait…” we did not want to wait and instead of a night out we returned home and made a nice meal. This Benihana reported me as a no show reservation, Open Tabke has taken care of that. I have been to multiple Benihana’s locations and aways enjoy the whole experience although with such POOR MANAGEMENT at this location we would never return to Benihana Torrance location. I’ve also read a few yelps beside posting my own.

The wait was minimal, the service was good, the cook put on a nice show and the food was excellent. It was a wonderful birthday celebration.

Best time to visit is before the dinner crowd, which starts about 5:30pm. Service was mid, as our waiter was hard to locate for the first 20min after seating. Then he took for ever to bring out our soup & salads. Our chef Pepito was amazing! If I could have fit him into my pocket to take home, I would have. Food was flavorful & he didn't mind any of our special request in regards to adding cooking time on to certain items or adding a little extra garlic butter for flavor.

This restaurant chain has been around for many years . The chefs could do other routines. It's not fascinating anymore. I bought my 4 year old to be excited. Also, poor cleaning. The bathroom was messy and dirty. No toilet tissue. Our waitress, Gabriel, was amazing. Very attentive. Anticipated our needs. Made the other party at our table special. It was their 1st time and birthday celebration. Overall, 4 stars because of the waitress and food was good.
