   We have been coming to the SLP Benihana for over 30 years. In the last few years the prices have skyrocketed, the service is subpar, portions of food are smaller, service fees were added this last year and now fried rice doesn’t come with your $56 entree?? This is absurd. This will be our last time coming. We will take yum-yum sauce to go and make our own. So disappointed. We should have gone to Capital Grill or Mannys for lunch. The price would have been the same ($350/4ppl) but the food would have been stellar

   We go to Benihana about 1-2x a year, usually to use their birthday coupon, which is a great value. We were there between Xmas and New Years, so it was a fairly busy time of the year. We had a reservation for 7 pm, but did not get seated until nearly 7:30 pm. The restaurant was full when we got there, but was half empty by 8 pm. We got our drink and food orders in right away, but we did not see a chef to cook our food until 8:30 pm (a hour and a half after our reservation). Don't know if they were understaffed, but the whole team just looked haggard from the host to the chef. Everyone was polite and friendly, but the energy was super low. The meal was great, as it typically is, although I always question how my bill gets up to $200 for three people (with a $30 coupon) for a meal that is primarily, soup, salad and vegetables with what seems to be maybe 8-10 ounces of steak and shrimp (plus 2 drinks). Its not like this is a 4-star steakhouse. The restaurant also has seen better days and could use a refresh. We will go back, but it was a disappointing night.

   We had a lovely family evening at Benihana for Christmas dinner. The server and our Chef were great. The food was delicious. Maybe because of it being a holiday, our chef didn’t start until we had been there for about an hour, seated for about 45 minutes. Luckily we weren’t in a hurry. It is quite noisy there so it was hard to have a conversation except with the person next to you. Also, we kept feeling a cold draft where we were sitting. That being said, overall, Benihana is a fun place to have a family or friend gathering - it is a performance with delicious food added in.

   We had a nice Christmas dinner and our tablemates were lovely. Thanks for a good experience and for offering a special way to celebrate the holiday.

   The food was good and the chef entertaining. The waiter seemed to be quite harried. We were concerned that our food allergies might be overlooked. There was no concern about cross-contamination between seafood and other foods, and the chef didn't speak English. Luckily, one of the other diners shared our food allergies with the chef in his language.

   Food was horrible. Could barely get the waitress to the table to provide refills, the bill, boxes. Of all the years, i can say i am no longer satisfied with the Benihanas’s and will not be returning for quite awhile.

    The staff were very accomidating for the foods my kids were not able to eat and helpful finding things they could. They were very positive and enviting through the whole experience!
