   Usually our go-to place for special occasions. My husband told the waiter twice that it was my birthday but they sang, gave a special dessert, candle, etc to the other birthday person at our table and not me. My daughter was disappointed that she didn’t get corn with her kids meal. The chef had to be asked to do the volcano, train, etc. There was some sort of problem with the orders of the other two groups at our table, which definitely interfered with the festive atmosphere. The ice cream tasted like an inferior brand to what is usually served. Next time we will probably go to the Bloomfield location instead. —Response to reply from management. Although I appreciate your attempt to reply, you obviously did not read my post. We did not enjoy the food or the service, although we usually do. And the problems were at our table, not other tables.

   Chef was wonderful with all my food allergies making sure nothing was cross contaminated or if certain foods contained allergens I could not eat. The food itself was delicious, I’ve been going to this Benihana for years and the food never disappoints. Overall I had a very fun birthday and had a fantastic experience I will always continue to eat at this restaurant.

   The food was rushed. We had our salad and soup at the same time. Dessert was delivered while we were still eating. The hostess was eating at the hostess stand —baby corn. Gross. We were in the back room and it was so Smokey. Very disappointed. .

   We come to Benihana twice a year. Over the last 2 years everything has simply gone downhill. Tonight service was very poor. It took over 30 minutes between seating to just put our drink orders in. For our first round of drinks we had to physically go up to the bar while we waited for our server to even acknowledge our table. Our guests ordered an appetizer and it came out cold with the entrees. When our party tried to get our servers attention, he had to take it back to the service station themselves as we knew our server wouldn’t be back for awhile. As they took it back they insisted he keep it. Drinks though the meal also took 20-30 minutes to arrive. It wasn’t until my guest pointed out that we had been there for over 3 hours that I realized how long our meal had really been. Our chef was fine, food was what you would expect for a chain. There wasn’t must interaction with the chef. For a $200 dinner after tip, there are MANY other places in Denver I would take our money and time, and that’s with a coupon for a birthday dinner.

   We love Benihana, and enjoy our dinners with family and friends several times a year. The food is always great and consistent. Tonight we were soooo disappointed in our service. We were not our servers priority..he apologized every time he came to our table for the delay in our orders. But we couldn’t even get our waters refilled. That is just basic service. We are not needy diners. We just wanted a good birthday dinner with good friends. This appears to be the new normal at Benihana, as we were here a month or so ago, and check in with reservations was a nightmare. I think management needs to circulate the tables and check in with the diners instead of hanging out at the hostess stand.

   The food and service were good. We had a reservation for 6:15 pm and when we arrived at that time they said that they were 30 minutes behind. 1.5 hours later we were finally seated. That was really disappointing but we had a good time overall.

   Awful experience. Waited over 1 hour for food soaked in butter. Environment was chaos and the food and drinks were insanely overpriced.

    Great food as always, tables space little small. Noise level little high. Great cook, great service. Drink prices could be little lower, they get you on the cost of the food. They could lower price little bit. Dinner with two drinks and tip $230. Little $$
