   Our server was super slow and not very attentive with refills etc. Our chef took forever to come out (over and hour) and he basically served us burnt fried rice. Benihana used to be a special experience- not the case anymore. $15 for two cups of fried rice and $6 lemonades is outrageous. And with mediocre service- will likely not be back. The $30 ‘birthday reward’ needs to be raised as your prices were.

   Many many mistakes were made tonight. Server struggled all night, lagged on filling our waters, soup was cold and ran out. Had to wait for new batch for one of the group. The chef barely spoke English and hard to communicate with. Told them I was allergic to shellfish but chef started cooking the scallops and shrimp. Let him know again that I was allergic. He had to remove the shellfish and re-clean the grill to cook my food. The steak was overcooked. Ice cream was not served till late. One of the ice cream plates went to the wrong person that we had to correct. Bad night for the overpriced food. Won’t go back again.

   We had birthday lunch today at the cooking tables and were seated next to a group of octogenarians and had the best time! Adrian was our chef and kept us all laughing the entire time. I would recommend choosing his table if you go in the future. The female server also did a wonderful job with our orders, refills of water, etc. It was the best time I've had at a Benihana - ever and I've been going to Newport & Anaheim for 30 years or more.

   We made reservation at 8:30 and they still had us wait til like 9:40 plus the chef hector left the food really bad not like any other times ai’ve ate there This is the second time we go with reservation and still make us wait a whole hour! We ended up leaving the restaurant like at 11 because lf the slow server

   I made a reservation for 730, showed up at 715 and didn’t get sat until 820, our chef didn’t have any enthusiasm, so the experience wasn’t that memorable for a birthday celebration. The table next to us had an amazing chef that we got more entertainment off of. My chicken, shrimp and lobster tail was severely overcooked which was upsetting because I paid an arm and leg for our meal. I took my bf for his first time and I’m disappointed in the experience we had. Not sure if we will return, especially after the bill being over $200.

   Good food. But didn't have a chef until over an hour after we were seated. Everyone was starving. 9:15pm reservation. 10:20pm chef started cooking. Pretty rough.

   I haven’t been here in like 10 years and wanted to go again for the experience. The food was alright and took wayyyyyyyy too long. Understandably, they cook it in front of you. But still. Way too long. Made reservations at 7 got Sat down at almost 8 and didn’t leave til 10ish. That’s crazy. And for the price of 2 people definitely wasn’t worth the mediocre presentation. Probably will not be going again.

   the service was on par with a diner, the time from seating to time of cooking was 45 minutes, the wait staff was casual, unattentive and complacent. The cost for 3 people was about $200. For the service, quality of food and the amount of time the entire meal took it was a regretable experience. Save your money and go some place else.

   Our cook Tom was amazing. One of the best cooks we had at any teppayaki restaurants. Our server sucked hardly ever came around. I asked 4 times for lemon and he never brought them. He never brought my husband his soda burner tried to charge him for it on the bill. A manager came around and that is the only reason we got refills on our water. If he did not come around we would have got refills. The serve was just going to drop off the bills and not give the people their ice cream that came with their meals. Our friends had to ask for the ice cream. They never said the chicken rice was an up charge. I will never been going back to this restaurant.
