   The chef and food were excellent. The reservation was delayed 1 hr and 20 minutes. There is no excuse for that. Either they are overbooking or working to slowly.

   Great food & service. The manager went out of his way to accommodate us since there was a delay in sitting us down at the time of our reservation. Kudos to Paul!!!!

   We made a 7:15 reservation for a birthday celebration on New Year's Eve. We arrived early at 7:00, checked in, and were told they were overbooked and running 45 minutes behind. No standing room inside. We were told to wait in the packed lounge bar or outside in the cold. Everyone around us had a reservation as well. Pretty disappointing to schedule plans on a busy day and have to wait anyway. We had an evening party to go to afterwards, which we were late for due to the poor planning of the restaurant overbooking. This could have been avoided if walk-ins were turned away or less reservations accepted. Kudos to the manager for working through a situation out of his control. We were pleasantly surprised to have our appetizers comped.

   The service and quality of food was excellent. They were overshadowed by what appears to be corporate greed in increasing hourly guest count beyond the capacity of the staff's and facilities ability to handle it. We arrived at 5:45 pm for a 6 pm reservation, was told they were running 45 minutes behind. We were seated at 7:15, 75 minutes behind our reservation time. Food was prepared, served and consumed in rapid fashion. To go boxes and dessert was brought out, with prepared checks at 8:15 while we were still eating our main meal. It was clear we were expected to get out. The bussers were cleaning around us before we had a chance to gather our belongings and put on our coats. It was also clear that the cooktops had been moved closer together when the 2 chefs could not do their preparations without bumping into each other - a safety issue as they work with sharp knives. Cannot recommend Benihana at this time. Don't know if I will return.

   While we waited 35 minutes passed our reservation it was acceptable as it was New Year’s Eve and the place was busy/packed. The service was still impeccable!

   Even with a reservation they were running 1 hour behind. The restaurant was possibly over capacity as there was no clear path to walk out. Management was present but didn’t seem to be managing the crowd well. Food was excellent as always.

   Very good experience. Celebrated a birthday and chef was so nice and food delicious. Servers so sweet. Loved the family pic too.
