Beatrix is a neighborhood coffeehouse, restaurant and meeting place in Chicago’s River North, Streeterville, Fulton Market and Oak Brook neighborhoods. The restaurant was created by Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises’ Founder Rich Melman, Executive Partner and Divisional President Marc Jacobs and Chef Partners John Chiakulas, Rita Dever and Susan Weaver.

The menu features healthy meets delicious options, and is known for its iconic coffee and bakery counter including signature cookies, in-house pastry favorites and house blends from our very own, Beatrix Coffee Roasters.

Beatrix is open daily for coffee, breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.

                                                                      Our waitress wasn’t the most helpful. She had a tone and vibe that felt unpleasant. For instance, when I asked what salad dressings were available it was like pulling teeth to get her to tell me simple information like that. And in the end she still couldn’t tell me the options. It also felt like we were in her way and an inconvenience to her. She wasn’t warm or welcoming at all. We were the large table of 10, maybe that stressed her out- but I expected better service for this type of ‘higher end’ restaurant. Everything else was outstanding the food, atmosphere etc. We will still visit again- Just hope we have a friendlier more helpful server next time.

                                                                      We love everything about Beatrix. Amazing pastries and coffee. That alone is reason to visit, which we did every day of our two stays at the adjacent Aloft hotel. Breakfast is perfect - eggs my way. And the menu is eclectic enough to make lunch and dinner enticing too. The staff is so friendly and professional. A mainstay for stays in River North.

                                                                      We chose this restaurant for lunch prior to a matinee at the Cadillac Theatre. It was an awesome experience. The service was excellent. The food was enjoyable and the atmosphere/people watching was great! We would highly recommend this restaurant.

                                                                      Came for brunch. Lemon pancakes are so light and fluffy don’t skip on these! Got the classic breakfast with the brown sugar bacon, delicious! Cold brew coffee and spicy bloody (wasn’t that spicy). My husband got The burger, he said was just ok. If you want a good brunch Beatrix is always a good choice!
