Barrel and Crow: A Contemporary Approach to Regional cuisine. Our Chef-driven restaurant relies solely on locally sourced produce and proteins. We utilizes these seasonal ingredients in preparing refined yet familiar comfort food. House made pastas and charcuterie offered every evening. Chef is always anxious to modify menu items to fit any dietary restrictions. Gluten, Vegetarian, Vegan and Dairy allergies are no problem. Pastry Chef Justin Roche dessert menu offers guests a selection of traditional desserts with a contemporary twist. Eclectic wine list which focuses on small production, boutique wines. A selection of 48 bourbons, extensive beer list with offerings from the top breweries in the Mid-Atlantic region. Full bar, seasonal cocktail menu and a wide selection of small batch spirits. The crab beignets were a surprise in terms of flavor and quality while the soup of the day--apple and butternut squash with a little dribble of spicy oil was very pleasing. We had the salmon with roasted brussels sprouts/mushroom/onions and the lamb bolognese--both were excellent. Service was great with good explanations of menu items, answers to our questions, and timeliness of attending to our table. It's a very casual place and the noise level was moderate though we were early diners though the place filled at dinner as we were leaving. Have already recommended to others and look forward to a return visit especially to try the chicken and waffles or the shrimp and grits.

First time and very good. Wouldn’t get the ravioli again because the pasta wasn’t cooked all the way. However the appetizers and rest of the meal was great (lamb shank and smoked duck breast). Would definitely go back. Service was very good and they were on top of everything.

Barrel and Crow was great. I had dinner with a friend there last night, which was the first Monday nights they were open. When we first arrived at 5:45, the restaurant was quiet, but eventually became quite loud with a full house of large groups of boisterous eaters. The service was excellent - very attentive without being annoying, and it was nice that the person who actually served the meals from the kitchen knew exactly which one of us had ordered what. The mussels appetizer was outstanding. All in all, a great choice.

Was the perfect meal to celebrate our son’s birthday! The calamari, salmon, burger and sliders were amazing!!! The cocktail and wine was also really good. Pork chop was a little dry but still great time!

Great service and food options. Creative menu for brunch with diverse choices. Great service also! We had some questions and the staff was amazing. It is a TAD expensive, and having some more gluten free options are my only negatives. Definitely a great choice!

I’ve eaten here before and enjoyed it. Last night the food was lukewarm when served. Seemed like it sat for a bit. Burger ordered medium, served medium well. Mediocre meal.
