Antico Posto, “The Old Spot”, is an intimate Italian Cafe and Wine Bar carefully hidden in Oakbrook Center Mall. The neighborhood restaurant boasts a warm, and inviting atmosphere combined with simple Italian comfort food. Make yourself comfortable in one of the many booths, or enjoy the private dining space for celebrations and special occasions. House specialties include fresh mozzarella, hand-crafted pasta, brick-oven pizza and house-made gelato. Food was great and the service was great too. I ordered from the restaurant week menu. It was a good value. It came with a glass of wine. I ordered the chicken piccata. I usually don't eat much carb. The sauce was really good that I ate all of the angel hair pasta in the dish also. It's aways enjoyable to be there.

We visited during Restaurant Week. The available menu had a good variety and was quite good. As we were seated, we passed through the main dining room which was quite noisy. However, the tables on the outskirts were conversation friendly. Our waitress was decent although not always attentive. It was a Sunday early evening so not overly crowded. The quantities of food was quite good which allowed us to each take some home for lunch the next day

Our waitstaff included Felipe who was wonderful. Very attentive and kind and smiley. He was patient with my parents and happy to do whatever he could to make our experience great. He succeeded.

We always go to Antico Posto for special occasions and have always enjoyed the food and service at this restaurant. And, they have the best giardiniera I have ever tasted. The olive oil cake is the most decadent desert on the menu.

The food is delicious and the servers and waitstaff are all very friendly and attentive. There is so much food that we ended up bringing a lot of it home. We had a delicious meal.
