   Acero is among our favorite restaurants but things seemed off at our last experience. The beet salad lacked freshness, the trout main course tasted soaked in oil and the bread starter was not warm as it had been in the past. Service was fine but not nearly at the level we had had before either. We did appreciate the quiet of the back room where we had not previously had a table. We look forward to our Acero dinners and this was a disappointment.

   It was our first time at Acero and it was absolutely amazing! We all did a 4 course tasting and our waiter was amazing and paired each food with wine perfectly. Will definitely recommend and we cannot wait to go back.

   We have been going to Acero for 7-8 years for all of our special occasions. Harris and the team never disappoint. From the Misa salad to the Tagalini to the beef filet and chocolate torte all are wonderful. If you want to bring your favorite wine the small corkage fee is a nice option

    This was Valetine's Day and they were well prepped to service a largenumber of people. We made a reservation well in advance and asked to be seated in the "rear area" separated from the bar area -- which is usually quieter. We eat there about 2-3 times each year, for apecial occasions like a birthday, anniversary, etc. The food is always excellent They had their full menu available on Valentines Day, with a couple of special items added. Our waiter was very attentive without hovering -and was very friendly. We went with the 4-course tasting menu. We highly recommend the beet salad and the egg raviolo for the first two courses. The homemade pastas are also great. With one quartino of white wine and iced tea, our total for the evening was about $215 a couple of "upgrades" in the tasting menu and including tip. It's a bit of a pricy place, but well worth it for a treat!
